Terms of Service

1. The Service

BukFast is a booking platform that lets service businesses — including homestays, hotels, clinics, studios, sports venues, and rental equipment providers — accept appointments, multi-slot bookings, and multi-night stays. Guests can book without creating an account.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• • You must be at least 18 years old to create a business account.
• • You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your login credentials secure.
• • A verified email address is required before you can start a subscription.

3. Business owner responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the services, availability, pricing, and policies you publish, and for honouring bookings guests make through your booking page. You must comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection and data protection rules that apply to the personal data you collect from guests.

4. Bookings, deposits, and guest data

• • Guests may book without an account using their name, email, and optional phone number.
• • You choose whether bookings are free, require a deposit, or require full payment.
• • You are responsible for the personal data you collect from guests through the Service and for using it lawfully.

5. Fees and payment

Subscription plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Paid transactions incur a small platform fee; free bookings incur no platform fee and count toward your plan’s free-booking limit where applicable. All fees are set out on our pricing page and may change with notice.

6. Free trial

Where offered, a 14-day free trial is available only on the Starter Monthly plan and only once per business. After the trial ends you will be charged the applicable subscription price unless you cancel before the trial period expires.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Stripe billing portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period. Guest-facing cancellation and refund rules are set by you through your booking policies.

8. Acceptable use

• • You may not use the Service for unlawful activity, to infringe others’ rights, to send spam or harassment, to interfere with or disrupt the Service, or to attempt to access systems you are not authorised to use.
• • You may not resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent.

9. Third-party services

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your use of Stripe’s services is subject to Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the actions of third-party providers.

10. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We provide support on a best-efforts basis.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Service for your business; you do not acquire ownership of any part of it.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if required by law. On termination, paid access continues only for the period you have already paid for.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
